For the first time in over 2 years, we had the pleasure to watch
this epic classic again, only this time in October instead
of April. The predicted rainfall made it even more dramatic,
as all of the 55kms of cobblestones were covered in mud.
After 258kms, three riders battled it out in a sprint on the iconic
velodrome of Roubaix, and it was European and Italian Champion
Sonny Colbrelli who got the better of young Belgian Florian
Vermeersch and Dutch superstar Matthieu Vanderpoel.
We were also privileged to witness history in the making with
the first ever Paris-Roubaix for women, and it was British rider
Lizzie Deignan who took the win after an incredible solo ride of
over 80kms.
